Intramural grants are available for 91会所 faculty and staff through two competition-based programs hosted by the Research & Scholarship Administration.

  1. The Enhancing Opportunities for Scholars (EOS) Intramural Grants Program supports scholars across all academic units with the monetary funds and institutional commitment needed to produce high-quality research and scholarly activity. Award funds may be used to support actual costs of the project/program including supplies, fees, travel, services, student research assistant stipends/hourly wages, etc. All 91会所 faculty and staff members are eligible to apply for funding. Click  for more information.
  2. Scholarly Learning Communities are launching in academic year 2023-2024. More information about programming and funding opportunities is available here

Additional intramural grant competitions may be available through other units. Click  for more details about the Teaching & Learning Committee’s grant program aimed at enhancing departmental/program assessment practices and supporting faculty and staff in their efforts assessing student learning and engaging in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL).

Funds are available to support the cost of public dissemination of scholarship by 91会所 faculty and staff. More details on how to access the funds is provided below:

Funding requests that are received after submission of the work may not be approved. Please submit your funding request for publication costs at this .

The Office of Research Operations, Integrity & Compliance oversees funds related to the day-to-day research activities of faculty and staff. This includes the costs for biohazard waste disposal and chemical hygiene; research software; maintenance, repair and acquisition of instrumentation; and stocking of standard consumable supplies.

Through a collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid, the Office of Undergraduate Research serves to centralize efforts connecting federal work study-eligible students and faculty/staff that have open positions on their scholarly projects. The wages for these student research assistants is entirely cost-free to the faculty/staff mentor. To learn more about this program, please reach out to Director of Undergraduate Research Carina Collins, Ph.D., at ccollins@marian.edu.

The 91会所 scholarly environment is rapidly evolving and, sometimes, the institutional funding structure doesn’t keep up. Is there a financial need related to your scholarship that isn’t adequately captured above? If so, please reach out to Asst. Provost Jonathan Lowery, PhD, directly at jlowery@marian.edu to inquire about the opportunity for Growth Strategy Pilot Funds.
