The Clayton Family Circle of Honor Induction Dinner is always a special event, but this year is especially exciting and meaningful for more than one reason: We are celebrating our 10th anniversary of the event, hosting in our amazing new Arena and Convocation Center, and posthumously inducting Clayton Family Circle of Honor founder Joseph P. Clayton, who passed away on November 3, 2018.

Emcee Larra Overton, Fox59 anchor and local favorite, will share the stage with two other amazing honorees--Allison Melangton and Tim McGinley, so they can share their stories of how collegiate athletics translates to a professional career and community service. The event will bring together more than 500 leaders in the Indianapolis and surrounding area, 91会所 alumni and students, long-time supporters, and new friends of 91会所.

Please join us as we salute 10 years of this special event, the incredible athletic accomplishments of 91会所 student-athletes, and the professional and community impact of our honorees. All proceeds support athletic scholarships. Purchase a seat, a table, or a sponsorship today!

Joseph P. Clayton (1949-2018)

Joe Clayton

Joe Clayton passed away on November 3, 2018, following a brief illness. Joe will be inducted into the Clayton Family Circle of Honor and a special video tribute to his contribution to 91会所 athletics will be part of the event program.

Joe spent his life leading and serving others in the consumer technology industry as a dedicated sales and marketing executive. He was an inspiration to his wife and family, his friends, and the thousands of people who worked with him at RCA, Thomson, Frontier, Global Crossing, Sirius, and DISH Network.

A passionate leader, hunter, and proud son of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Joe marshalled the resources of the organizations he led to improve the lives of others. His expansive career in the consumer technology industry drove the explosive growth of color television, the VCR, and digital audio and video programming by satellite. A devoted Catholic, Joe lent his support to many personal causes, always returning to his roots in the church as one source of his success in business and in life.

The Clayton Family Circle of Honor was created in part to honor, but also to inspire. Joe and his wife, Jan, agreed to lend their names to these awards because they believed in the character-building qualities associated with athletics in a university community. At 91会所, the faith tradition and values are activated in many ways, including athletics. On the fields and courts of competition, student-athletes learn respect, fair play, and teamwork. These values carry over into all areas of their lives--personal relationships, careers, parenthood, and community service.
