Scholarships for Education Majors

91会所 is committed to making a private university education affordable for you and your family. In fact, 99 percent of our first-time, full-time freshmen receive financial aid in the form of institutional grants and scholarships.

Here are some scholarship opportunities for students who want to earn a bachelor's degree in education on our Indianapolis campus.

The  is offered by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education (CHE). Awarded to 200 high-achieving high school and college students (priority is given to high school students), this renewable scholarship is up to $7,500 each year for up to four academic years. In exchange you agree to teach for five years at an  or repay the corresponding, prorated amount of scholarship.

If you are awarded the NGHES, and have been accepted to 91会所, you are automatically eligible to have the remainder of your tuition covered.

Eligibility Criteria

For complete eligibility requirements, visit the  page on the in.gov website. To be eligible, you must:

  • Be an  who is a U.S. citizen or
  • Be a current high school senior or college student in Indiana
  • Be able to use the scholarship for at least two full academic years
  • Have graduated or will graduate from an Indiana accredited high school or non-accredited nonpublic high school
  • Rank in the top 20 percent of your high school graduating class, have a top 20th percentile SAT (1130) or ACT (26) score, or have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale in high school
  • Plan to attend an eligible public or private university in Indiana
  • Plan to obtain an Indiana teaching license and serve as a teacher at an eligible Indiana school for five years after graduating from college
  • Have a minimum 3.0 college GPA and complete at least 30 academic credit hours or their equivalent per year during college
  • Annually file the  (FAFSA)

* The  application opened October 15, 2022 and closes on January 31, 2023. CHE will review all applications and notify applicants of their scholarship status via email by March 24, 2023.

* Deadlines and enrollment requirements are determined each year by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

Are you a talented minority student who (1) wants to attend 91会所, (2) plans to pursue a career as a K-12 teacher, and (3) wants to teach in Marion County, Indiana for at least two years after graduation?

If this describes you, you may be eligible for up to $40,000 in scholarships thanks to the .

Eligibility Criteria

  • Self-identify as a minority or student of color
  • Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 high school GPA
  • Score a minimum of 1,000 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT
  • Agree to teach in Indianapolis (Marion County) for at least two years after receiving your initial teaching license

The Educators for Tomorrow Scholarship, a 50% tuition discount, made available to new students for the four-year, education programs at Marian’s Indianapolis and Plymouth campuses starting for fall 2024 entry term. Upon admission to the University and meeting the criteria listed below, this award is an automatic 50% discount off tuition and will apply each year until graduation.

Eligibility Criteria

  • First-time, full-time student applying to the four-year, undergraduate program at Marian’s Indianapolis or Plymouth location.
  • Admitted by January 1, 2024 for the fall 2024 entry term.
  • Maintains a 3.5 GPA or above at time of admission to the University.
  • Declares education as a major at time of admission and maintains education throughout their time at Marian.
