At 91会所, we provide you with all the education, training, and support you’ll need to both launch your career in medicine and excel in it.
Our beautiful wooded campus is just a quick 15-minute ride from downtown Indianapolis and is a perfect blend of a diverse, tight-knit community nestled firmly within the sphere of Indy’s bustling cultural center.
At Marian, not only do we provide top-tier education, but we also connect you with amazing opportunities, clinical rotations, and research collaborations that'll prepare you for a rewarding career in healthcare.
Being located in a major city means you'll never run out of things to do when you need a break from hitting the books! Sporting events are plentiful between the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Indians, and Indiana Fever games. And the list of arts, cultural, and recreational experiences range from the Indianapolis Museum of Art to one of the country's largest city parks: Eagle Creek, paddle boat rentals in the Canal District, breweries, barcades, axe throwing, and so much more.
As a Catholic university, we are dedicated to achieving educational excellence through teaching, research, and scholarly activities while staying true to our Franciscan and liberal arts traditions. We welcome students of all faiths who seek an educational experience and community steeped in Franciscan values, including dignity of the individual, peace and justice, reconciliation, and responsible stewardship.
Our history goes way back to 1851 when Sister Theresa Hackelmeier and the Sisters of St. Francis established a school in Oldenburg, Indiana. Fast forward to 1936, and that's when Marian College was born. We found a home in Indianapolis in 1937 with the purchase of Allison Mansion located on “Millionaire’s Row,” also known as “Founder’s Row,” an area named after three of the Speedway founders. On July 1, 2009, we officially became 91会所. The College of Osteopathic Medicine celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2023.
Thanks to a generous gift from the Tom and Julie Wood Foundation, in July of 2024, the 91会所 College of Osteopathic Medicine was renamed the Tom and Julie Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-WCOM).
We're an authorized institution of higher education in Indiana and provide comprehensive financial aid packages to make our education as affordable as possible. Grants, scholarships, work-study programs, and loans are all on the table to make your education more affordable. We're here to help you succeed!
We know that committing to a medical school is not just about earning your degree, but preparing you for service to the community and setting yourself up for a successful, fulfilling, balanced life. Our campus is designed to do exactly that. From historic mansions to our very own 55-acre EcoLab, there are a number of unique spaces to explore that will help you to maintain a well-rounded life during your time at Marian, no matter what your interests are.
You'll find cutting-edge biomedical research facilities, collaboration suites, classrooms fitted with the latest technology, and huge green spaces for picnics and Frisbee Fridays. Our Indianapolis campus includes state-of-the-art workout facilities and an arena connected to an expansive dining hall, aka, “the caf,” and plenty of unique spaces for you to put your earbuds in and get your work done.
Let's talk housing. The Overlook at Riverdale, completed in 2015, is the newest on-campus apartment building that’ll save medical and graduate students time and lots of gas money. What’s the best part? You'll be surrounded by classmates, further forging a tight-knit learning community while enjoying the freedom and privacy of your own space.
