New Student Orientation

Prepare for Orientation

Congratulations on your decision to attend 91会所's Ancilla College!

The next two years will be among the most exciting and memorable of your life.

Your next step is to attend one of our New Student Orientation programs. During Orientation, you will learn everything you'll need to know for your transition to college and how to thrive here as a student. You'll also register for your first semester of classes and get to know other new students, current students, and faculty.

At New Student Orientation, you will:

  • Connect with your future classmates, current students, faculty, and staff.
  • Find out about student services and resources that will help you succeed.
  • Meet with an academic advisor and register for classes.
  • Have all of your questions answered.
  • Ensure you’re fully prepared to start your journey at 91会所's Ancilla College.
  • Help students make their Enrollment Deposit.
  • Learn how to become Knight Quest ready before the start of classes.

Students starting classes in Spring 2025 are now able to register for one of our programs. Registration closes two weeks prior to each event. We recommend attending as early as possible. New Student Orientation programs will take place on the following dates:

Spring 2025 Start New Student Orientation:

  • Friday, January 3

Fall 2025 Start New Student Orientation:

  • Thursday, May 15
  • Thursday, June 19
  • Thursday, July 10

*An orientation fee is applied to the first-semester bill for all incoming students, which covers meals and programming during orientation and Welcome Week.

There are a variety of sessions and activities that acclimate you to 91会所’s Ancilla College and help you build connections with faculty, staff, and other new students. You will:

  • Attend information sessions to learn more about paying for college, living on campus, and more.
  • Find out about all the academic resources on campus to help you earn your diploma.
  • Meet your orientation leader, a current MUAC student.
  • Have lunch with current students, families, faculty, and staff in the Dining Commons.
  • Meet with your academic advisor and register for fall classes.
  • Learn about 91会所’s Ancilla College and grow school spirit.

  • Cell phone and charger - Posting New Student Orientation selfies to your Snapchat story, tweeting about how much you love your new school, and adding contact information for all your new friends will drain your battery! Don't forget to bring your charger, especially if you're staying overnight.
  • Dress for the weather - We don’t want you to be caught out in the rain, so bringing an umbrella is always a good idea. Although it may be hot and sunny outside, it can get cold inside air-conditioned buildings, so a light jacket or sweater won’t hurt.
  • Sunscreen – ⁣Comfortable walking shoes - Although Marian's campus is compact, you may walk between several buildings during orientation.
  • Questions - We recommend you start a list now with all the questions you have about Marian and bringing it to orientation. We want you to leave with all of your questions answered, so you feel confident and ready to begin your college journey!
  • A list of any dual-credit courses you're currently taking - If you were admitted to Marian in the fall, there's a good chance we're not yet aware of any dual-credit, AP, or transfer credit to take this past spring. We recommend listing out those courses or bringing an unofficial transcript to share with your academic advisor.
