by News Release | Oct 18, 2023

Beginning in fall 2024, Educators for Tomorrow scholarships will be awarded to all eligible students pursuing education degrees at Marian鈥檚 Indianapolis and Plymouth campuses

New first-time, full-time 91会所 students pursuing four-year education degrees will receive an automatic 50% tuition discount each year they are enrolled at 91会所鈥檚 Fred S. Klipsch Educators College. The new Marian scholarship begins fall of 2024 as students need to be admitted by January 1, 2024.

By awarding the new Educators for Tomorrow scholarships, 91会所 hopes to encourage more students to pursue primary and secondary education degrees, and become teachers. Full-time students at both Marian鈥檚 Indianapolis campus and at 91会所鈥檚 Ancilla College (MUAC) are eligible to receive the 50% tuition discount each year of their college career when they meet the following criteria:

  • Admission to the four-year education program at Klipsch Educators College.
  • Have a 3.5 GPA or above at the time of acceptance.
  • Declare education as their major at admission and maintain their education major throughout their time at Marian.

鈥淥ur strategic mission at the Fred S. Klipsch Educators College is to encourage and prepare more students 鈥 especially those in underrepresented populations 鈥 to pursue teaching careers,鈥 said LaTonya Turner, Ph.D., dean of 91会所鈥檚 Klipsch Educators College. 鈥淲e are keenly aware higher education affordability may be a barrier for some students. That鈥檚 why I am excited Marian is taking yet another step toward making higher education more accessible for aspiring educators and encouraging them to pursue teaching careers.鈥
